Yah! You’ve made it to Philadelphia. The City of Brotherly and Sisterly Affection has several ways to get around town.
You can always hail a cab, an Uber, or a Lyft. Depending on traffic and where you are in the city, you will most likely get to Campus WordCamp Philly within less than half an hour. Campus is at USciences, 600 S. 43rd Street.
If you want to use public transportation, Philly’s got you covered.
From the east side of Center City (1-13 Streets), you can catch the Blue Line aka Market-Frankford Line (subway) pretty much on any corner on Market Street. Make sure you take the westbound train. Get off at 15th Street Station and walk across the street to 15th Street Trolley Station. Catch the #11 Trolley and get off at Woodland Avenue at 43rd Street. This puts you right at the STC building on UScience’s campus.

If you’re in an in-between spot and non of the above-mentioned routes seems likely, then you can consult Philly’s public transit system, SEPTA, to find out which routes you should take. There’s a convenient Google Transit search box on the left-hand side of the screen where you can enter your departing and arriving destinations with timing. It will show you a route, give instructions on how to get to the nearest transit stop, and let you know exactly which bus or train that you need to take.
What About Getting to the After-Party?
The campus and the After-Party at Williams Street Common, 3900 Chestnut Street, are both in West Philadelphia. If you like a little bit of a stroll, it’s totally walkable in about 20 minutes.
The After-Party is drivable from USciences in about six minutes if you’ve brought your own transportation.
If you want to do public transportation, hop on the #11 Trolley. It picks up at USciences at Woodland Avenue at 43rd Street. Get off at the 36th Street Trolley Station. Walk south and make a right onto Chestnut Street. Williams Street Common is about an eight-minute walk from there.
Otherwise, a cab, an Uber, or a Lyft would be the way to go if you’re not into taking the walk and don’t want to use public transportation.
See you there!
