For WordCamp Philly 2018, the talks tackle aspects of what business owners are interested in: traffic. How to plan for it, how to drive it, how to measure it, how to serve it. We’ll have talks on preparation and feature selection for your audience; project management; the security of email marketing; sites for non-profits; and Google Analytics and driving traffic to your site.

Need a Place to Stay? See our Hotel Information

If you’re coming in from out of town for WordCamp Philly 2018 and looking for a place to stay, the city has a number of options. We do not have rooms for the event this year, but we do have hotel information for you.

The University City area is the closest to the University of the Sciences that has a concentration of hotels. Many people coming to the area use Airbnb; last year some of the locations available were within a 10-minute walk of the university.

Meet Our WordCamp Philly 2018 Speakers – Round Three

We have more friends from WordCamps past to welcome back in our third round of speakers. Laura Byrne Cristiano, a 2017 speaker, and Jodie Riccelli, who was on the WordCamp Philly organizing team, are among the fantastic people coming back this year.

Frank Corso, William Earnhardt, Charles Johnston, Laura Strader and Andrew Taylor will be joining them. We’ll have one more round of speakers to announce soon, plus information about our panels. Keep reading!

Volunteer Application Deadline is Sept. 15

We could still use about half a dozen more volunteers for the 2018 WordCamp Philly. Help us set up, work the registration table, volunteer at the Happiness Bar or assist with other small tasks that make our event a success.

The deadline to apply is 11:59 pm Sept. 15 (not to be confused with the deadline for free child care and interpretive services). You don’t need to be a WordPress guru to help. Most of the tasks for volunteers don’t require special skills — and you’ll still have time to attend sessions.

To find out more and sign up, see our call for volunteers.

Meet Our WordCamp Philly 2018 Speakers – Round Two

WordCamp Philly will feature so many new speakers this year. Chris Berkley, Donna Botti, Nikki Kriss, Justin Nealey and Gayle Williams join 2017 veterans Pam Aungst and Diane Varner in our second round of speakers.

Read on to find out more these talented professionals. We’ll be announcing our third round soon, plus more information about the WordPress 101 track presenters and panels for this year.
