John Herrington is an assistant professor and clinical psychologist at the University of Pennsylvania. His research home is the Center for Autism Research at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. His work focuses on the emotional experiences of individuals with autism spectrum disorder. In a research context, this means trying to understand why anxiety is so prevalent among individuals on the autism spectrum. Clinically, this means working with individuals with ASD to try to overcome their fears, and find success in their academic, professional, and personal lives.
