We will be in the\u00a0main building.\u00a0Doors open\u00a0and\u00a0check-in starts\u00a0at\u00a012:30 pm. Contributor Day activities begin at 1 pm and conclude at 5 pm.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>12:30-1 pm:\u00a0 registration opens<\/li>\n<li>1-1:30 pm: opening remarks and Contributor Day overview<\/li>\n<li>1:30-2:30 pm: team collaboration<\/li>\n<li>2:30-3 pm: networking activity<\/li>\n<li>3-4:30 pm: team collaboration<\/li>\n<li>4:30-5 pm: recap of teams&#8217; work and closing remarks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<h2>What to Expect<\/h2>\n<p>Contributor Day is a mix of getting to know how to get involved with the WordPress project and with actually supporting the project.<\/p>\n<p>There will be a short presentation on the different teams supporting WordPress. There will then be opportunity to get involved with the teams that are present on the day. (We don\u2019t know for sure what teams will be presented on the day. We\u2019ll just have to see who shows up. It\u2019s more fun that way!)<\/p>\n<p>If you\u2019d like to read up about the different teams that work together to support the WordPress project, you can read more about it on the\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/make.wordpress.org\/\">Make WordPress website<\/a>. To be clear, it takes <em>all sorts of skills and interests<\/em> to move the project forward.<\/p>\n<p>Whether you\u2019re a designer, developer, writer, project manager, marketing consultant or just learning the ropes of any of these roles \u2013 and more! \u2013 there is plenty of opportunity for you to get involved with WordPress.<\/p>\n<h2>What to Bring<\/h2>\n<p>As Contributor Day is all about getting involved with supporting WordPress as an open source project and community, it\u2019s best to come prepared to learn, share and work.<\/p>\n<p>Plan to bring a laptop with a power cord and a notebook with a pen or pencil.<\/p>\n<h2>What to Do in Advance of Contributor Day<\/h2>\n<p>It\u2019s very helpful and sometimes necessary to have a WordPress.org account.
