We will distribute a sticker sheet to each person who asks for one -\u2013 and each sticker sheet will contain all three color communications badges.<\/p>\n<p>These color badges are stickers that can be placed on a name badge and will enable people to express their communication preferences quickly and non-verbally.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>These color communication badges are adapted from the versions popularized by the <a href=\"http:\/\/autisticadvocacy.org\/\">Autistic Self Advocacy Network<\/a>. Use of these badges is entirely a personal choice. They can be affixed directly to your WordCamp Philly name badge.<\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2536\" src=\"https:\/\/2017.philly.wordcamp.org\/files\/2017\/10\/green-communication-badge.png\" alt=\"Green communication badge\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Come Talk to Me!<\/h2>\n<p><em>A person wearing a green badge is actively seeking interaction. They may have trouble initiating conversations, but it\u2019s okay to come up and start a conversation with them.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2537\" src=\"https:\/\/2017.philly.wordcamp.org\/files\/2017\/10\/yellow-communication-badge.png\" alt=\"Yellow communication badge\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Do I Know You?<\/h2>\n<p><em>A person wearing a yellow badge only wants to talk to people they recognize. Unless you\u2019ve met this person face-to-face before, please don\u2019t start a conversation with them. If they start talking to you, you\u2019re welcome to talk back with them.<\/em><\/p>\n<h2><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-full wp-image-2538\" src=\"https:\/\/2017.philly.wordcamp.org\/files\/2017\/10\/red-communication-badge.png\" alt=\"Red communication badge\" width=\"150\" height=\"150\" \/>Not Right Now.<\/h2>\n<p><em>A person wearing a red badge does not want anyone to talk to them. They may approach others to talk, in which case it\u2019s okay to respond. Unless you\u2019ve been told that you\u2019re on someone\u2019s \u201cred list\u201d, please don\u2019t start interacting with them. (A &#8220;red list&#8221; is the list of people who the badge-wearer has previously identified as exempt from the stop. The badge-wearer would have let those on the list know in advance that it was okay to approach them.)<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Please respect the preferences of those wearing a color communication badge.
