First-timers are especially uncertain of what to expect when they arrive. Relax &#8212; we promise you there&#8217;s nothing to worry about.<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a rundown of the most common questions we&#8217;ve seen. We have answers!<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. Where can I find the full schedule?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. We have <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.philadelphia.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/\">the schedule online on this site<\/a>, along with listings of <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.philadelphia.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/sessions\/\">sessions<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/2018.philadelphia.wordcamp.org\/schedule\/speakers\/\">speakers<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What do I do when I get to WordCamp?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Check in at the registration desk so we can mark you as attending, get you a name tag and say hello. Registration starts at 8 am in the STC Building atrium.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. I registered online and don&#8217;t have a ticket. Will I be able to get in?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Absolutely. Nobody else has a printed ticket. either. We&#8217;ll have your registration details at the desk.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What do I do after I register?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Opening remarks will be at 9 am and the keynote starts about 10-15 minutes afterwards. Until then, grab a snack, check out the sponsor tables or make some new friends. The WordCamp Philly attendees are generally a friendly bunch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What if I&#8217;m coming late? Can I still register?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Yes!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. I don&#8217;t know my way around campus. What do I do?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. The STC Building, where you&#8217;ll register, is where Woodland Avenue meets up with 43rd and 45th streets (across from Clark Park). Once you&#8217;re there, we&#8217;ll have signage everywhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What do I need? Should I have any software installed?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. If you&#8217;re planning on attending the WordPress 101 talks or getting help at the Happiness Bar, then you should have your computer ready as these are hands-on activities. No software is required, but know your passwords.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What about the other talks? Should I have my computer?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. You won&#8217;t necessarily need it for the talks, unless you want to take notes and prefer to do it on computer. But it can be handy to have with you. It&#8217;s also helpful to have some note paper and a pen or pencil.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What about internet access?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. The University of the Sciences will have wireless internet available. We&#8217;ll have the details when you register on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. Is there anything else I should remember?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Remember to charge your computer, phone and any other devices fully. Bring a charger if you have one. If you have business cards, have a few on hand just in case. And during the talks, please don&#8217;t forget to turn your ringer off.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Q. What if I have a question or need help while I&#8217;m at WordCamp?<\/strong><br \/>\nA. Look for anyone whose name badge is hanging from an orange or rainbow-colored lanyard. The orange ones signify volunteers. The people wearing rainbow lanyards are the co-organizers.
