The WordCamp community encompasses a plethora of different types of people from many different walks of life. This diversity gives our community strength and is a source of pride. That’s why we work really hard to accommodate needs.
Some of the ways in which we are striving to make WordCamp Philly inclusive are:
- A designated room for nursing mothers who would like to nurse privately in a quiet and controlled environment.
- Child care for attendees with young children. If you are a parent in need of child care for WordCamp Philly, please let us know. Child care will cover the Saturday sessions only. Feel free to bring your children to the sessions. They are certainly welcome to attend.
- Closed Captioning in all of the sessions in the Designer, Developer and Business/Freelance tracks.
- Interpreter services on an as-needed basis. If you will need an interpreter, let us know so we can accommodate you accordingly.
- Vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options for the provided meals.
- A designated family bathroom that is also a gender-neutral bathroom.
Please reach out to us if there is a need you would like to discuss. We are happy to try to work it out so you have a fulfilling and inclusive WordCamp Philly experience. We’re very much looking forward to seeing you there!
