WordCamp Philly is looking for a few good speakers to share their knowledge and stories on October 5. We’re changing things up this year, doing away with our traditional track structure. All topics WordPress and WP-adjacent are welcome.
We’re accepting applications through 11:59 pm Eastern Time on Sunday, June 30. Applicants are asked to limit their submissions to three talks.
New Venue, New Format
For the past few years, we have offered Designer, Developer, Business/Freelance and WordPress 101 tracks. This year our new venue gives us the space for three tracks, which we plan to open up to any area of interest and level of expertise. We’ll schedule a mix of talks that we hope will offer something new to everyone.
We’re also planning a mix of long talks (up to 30 minutes) and short ones (15-20 minutes) with additional time for Q&A.
We Welcome Diversity
- Diversity in BackgroundWe welcome speakers from all backgrounds and levels of experience with WordPress. Don’t let gender, ethnicity, religion, disability, age or any other factor discourage you from applying.
- Diversity in Speaking ExperienceFirst-time WordCamp speakers are welcome in Philly. We love to have new voices in the WordPress community at our events.
- Diversity in TopicsIs your background in web development? Design? Content strategy? SEO or analytics? Do you have expertise to share when it comes to freelancing or starting up a new business? Are you working with a new tool or workflow? Do you have insights coming from another CMS or programming language? Then we want to hear your story.
