While you’re at WordCamp Philly, say hello to the five new organizing team members who contributed their time and talents to make WordCamp Philly 2018 possible.
Our new members are Don Reid, Lauren Pittenger, Krystal Knapp, Joe Casabona and Teresa Hopkins. Some of the tasks they’ve been involved with including arranging a venue for the After-Party; coordinating with food services at the University of the Sciences; heading up speaker selection; preparing content for the website; working on design materials (including our Wapuus); documenting processes for future WordCamps; and planning Contributor Day.
The team reached out to the community last November to offer members the opportunity to participate in the organizing process. The response was such that we couldn’t accommodate everyone on the team this year.
The WordCamp Philly team is grateful to all the wonderful folks who expressed an interest in being involved in the 2018 event. And if you’re interested in being involved in the next WordCamp, we’re sure to be reaching out again for new team members.
